Gryphis (グリフィス Gurifuisu?) was the planet where Monitaliens were created. The planet flourished four billion years ago, but was destroyed.

Four billion years ago, Gryphis was a flourishing planet who created the Monitaliens and sent them out to monitor the evolution a planet's organisms and civilizations.
At some point in Earth's early history, they hid the Blueprint, a mechanism that can control stars and galaxies, in a place which would be known as Mount Taketori in Japan's Suruga Bay much later.
The planet was destroyed some time in the past. It is not known if other Monitaliens besides Dolugh survived.
